Cessna A-37 DragonFly
I didn’t realize that Cessna made combat aircraft. I was very surprised to see this odd looking plane gracing the sky at the 2025 March ARB airshow. The plane is ridicously powered and while it doesn’t have an afterburner, the thrust to engine ratio is impressive.
MV-22 Osprey
Watched the aircraft perform at the 2024 Miramar Airshow in it’s own demo and than as part of the MAGTAF. Great performance by the teams and truly an exceptional aircraft.
2024 Pacific Airshow
Well the airshow was a bust, there was so much fog and the fog was so low that no one could really fly. I wasn’t there on Friday, but heard that the show wasn’t great, I was there all day on Saturday and didn’t see a single thing. I could hear the planes, just couldn’t see anything. I went again on Sunday and spent most of the day and then gave up and decided to go and catch planes coming and going from Los Alamitos Base. At least I got some shots for the weekend, but wasn’t at all anything like I was expecting. Or course managed to see a raptor, just not the metallic kind flying around.

Couldn’t catch a break on the break
While at the 2023 Miramar airshow I could not for the life of me guess correctly on which plane was going to be in front during the crossovers at show center. Every single time I would guess wrong and even when I started flipping coins I wasn’t lucky enough to figure it out. The shots are okay, but obviously not perfect since the wrong plane is in focus during the crossing maneuvers.
